During Milan Design Week 2026, held from April 20-26, LEICHT moved beyond the traditional fair setting and became the only kitchen brand to present within the Orangery of the Museo Poldi Pezzoli in Milan.

Rather than creating a conventional exhibition space, the presentation was designed as an immersive architectural experience — one shaped by the history, atmosphere, and cultural significance of its surroundings.

A Historic Setting in the Heart of Milan

Located just steps from the city's design district, Museo Poldi Pezzoli is one of Milan's most celebrated historic museums. Once the private residence of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, the home reflects a rich blend of European art, architecture, and design history.

Unlike the fast pace of the traditional fair environment, the Orangery offered something quieter and more intimate. Natural light filtered through the space while views into the surrounding gardens created a calm architectural backdrop for the presentation.

1. Introducing Rosso Lepanto

One of the most talked-about details throughout the presentation was the Rosso Lepanto.

With its deep red tones and expressive natural veining, the material brought a bold yet refined presence to the kitchen island and surrounding architectural elements. As light moved throughout the Orangery, the surface revealed subtle variations in texture and depth, revealing subtle shifts in texture and depth throughout the day..

Paired with warm wood finishes, illuminated cabinetry, and carefully layered materials, Rosso Lepanto became a defining element of the overall presentation.

2. Art is Now

Every detail of the LEICHT show was thoughtfully connected to the museum's architectural language.

The color palette and material selections drew from the tones and textures of the historic residence, allowing contemporary kitchen architecture to sit naturally within the space. Warm wood veneers, illuminated glass cabinetry, and refined matte surfaces introduced contrast while maintaining a sense of balance throughout the Orangery.

Rather than competing with the historic setting, the show was designed to feel integrated within it.

The result was an experience that felt less like a display and more like part of the museum itself.

3. Where Art is at Home

Beyond introducing new materials and design directions, the presentation reflected LEICHT’s broader philosophy of kitchen architecture — one centered around how people live, move, and experience space.

Away from the traditional exhibition halls, visitors experienced the presentation at a slower pace.

The atmosphere encouraged guests to move naturally through the Orangery and experience the kitchen architecture in a way that felt personal, immersive, and connected to the home.

4. Moments in Milan

As we look back on our time at Milan Design Week 2026, we’re especially grateful for the opportunity to share LEICHT kitchen architecture within such a meaningful cultural setting.

For our showroom owners, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. Beyond the presentation itself, there was something memorable about being in Milan — surrounded by the city’s architecture, design energy, and the beauty of the Orangery at Museo Poldi Pezzoli.

Thank you to everyone who visited, experienced the exhibition with us, and made the week truly unforgettable for our team.
